StoreLens Privacy Policy

What StoreLens Does

StoreLens is a Chrome extension that analyzes Shopify stores. When you click "Analyze This Store," it reads publicly available information from the current page and the store's own public storefront endpoints (such as /products.json, /cart.js, and /collections.json) to show you the store's theme, installed apps, payment methods, social links, products, and collections.

What Data We Access

What We Do Not Collect

StoreLens does not collect or transmit personally identifiable information, health information, financial/payment information, personal communications, precise location, or your browsing/web history to any server operated by the developer.

Local Storage

Stores you bookmark, notes you write, your dark-mode preference, and any API keys you enter are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data is never sent to any server we operate. It stays on your device and is only sent to third-party services (SimilarWeb, Facebook) if you supply your own API key/token to use those optional features.

Third-Party Services

If you provide your own API keys, StoreLens will make direct requests from your browser to:

These requests are made directly from your browser to those services using your own credentials. We do not see or store the responses; they are only displayed to you within the extension.

Data Sale & Sharing

We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties. We do not use any data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose of Shopify store analysis, and we do not use any data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
