Trust Check for Alibaba ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that shows a safety score and pre-order checklist on Alibaba.com product and supplier pages. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and what it does with it.
When you are on an Alibaba.com product or supplier page, the extension reads the visible text and elements on that page — for example badges (Verified Supplier, Trade Assurance), years listed, response rate, order/sold counts, ratings, and review text — in order to compute a trust score and display it on the page.
All of this processing happens locally, inside your browser, at the moment you view the page. The extension does not transmit this data anywhere. It does not use any external server, API, or analytics service. It does not collect, store, sell, or share this information with the developer, with Alibaba, or with any third party.
The extension does not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location data, web history, or user activity (clicks, keystrokes, scroll tracking). It does not require an account, sign-in, or any personal information to function.
The extension only runs on alibaba.com pages, which is required
so its content script can read the page and display the widget there. It
requests no other permissions.
The extension loads a font stylesheet from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) purely for styling the widget's text. No page data or personal information is sent as part of that request.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the developer via the extension's Chrome Web Store listing page.
